The Jenny was a biplane made by Curtiss Aeroplane and Motor Company in the USA. The JN-4 was the first airplane used for airmail by the United States Post Office. The planes ran in relays, like the Pony Express did with horses. When flying day and night, it only took one and a half days to get a letter from New York to San Francisco. Much faster than 4 days by train. The Jenny also was the most common plane in the early days of flying, and most pilots had flown one at one time or another. Over 7,000 of these fantastic planes were produced.
