The Cargomaster is a huge, awesome plane, especially for a turboprop powered plane.  In fact, the C-133 is the largest turboprop ever used by the United States Air Force at 120,263 pounds empty.  The Cargomaster was designed with the need to move intercontinental ballistic missiles (ICBMs) from place of manufacture to missile silos.  In addition, it could move 200 troops, or fit almost any Army vehicle and carry then from the US to Europe without a layover.  The Air Force used the Cargomaster from 1957 until 1980.
