Bebe means “baby.”  The Type 11 biplane was built by France starting in 1915.  One unusual feature of this plane is the machine gun mounted above the top wing.  The gun was mounted on a bracket allowing it to slide back for firing upward and reloading.  Also built were Type 17 and Type 21.  A plane possibly used in the forthcoming movie "Flyboys."
