Bristol Bombay. Royal Air Force Transport. Series C, Number Forty-One. Bomber Transport. The Bristol "Bombay" is used by the R.A.F. as a troop carrier and as a heavy bomber. Lately its most important task has been the movement of fully-armed infantry into emergency positions. The "Bombay" can carry 24 men ready for field duty. Many of these ships have been on active duty in the Middle East. They cruise at 180 m.p.h. with full load.
